The main symptoms of Coronavirus are:

High temperature:

this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature

New, continuous cough:

this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)

Loss or change to your sense of smell or taste:

this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal

To protect yourself and others, please do not come into the surgery if you have any of these symptoms.

Please note: a sick note is not needed for self-isolation.

In line with Public Health England guidance, all non-essential services have been suspended.

If you require an urgent appointment, please fill out an eConsult or contact the surgery. We are currently experiencing a very high volume of calls, please use eConsult where possible.

Please keep in mind that those who will still be attending the surgery are the most vunerable members of our community, such as those with cancer or who are immunocompromised.

If you are required to attend the surgery, please do not bring anyone else with you where possible. If you do bring anyone, they will be required to stay outisde of the surgery.

Please do not stockpile medication. There are currently measures in place to ensure continued supply of medicines to surgeries and pharmacies, but these will be strained if there is undue pressure put upon them.

Please be aware that we are now taking bookings for Smear Tests. If you have had a delayed/cancelled appointment or a letter inviting you for a Cervical Screening Test, please contact the surgery via eConsult, email: tollerford.surgery@dorsetgp.nhs.uk or via telephone: 01308 861800.

Routine vaccinations for babies and pre-school children are continuing as normal.

It is important to go to your appointments unless you, your child or someone you live with has symptoms of coronavirus.

Vaccinations usually given in schools are being rescheduled.

Please note: prescription collection from Pound Piece & Tunnel Road is only available between

9am-11:30am & 3:30pm-5:30pm
