As a rural practice we are aware that people are rquired to travel to appointments whether at the surgery, at hospital, or anyother health care organisation. Not everyone has their own car or has someone who can provide a lift.

Country Cars 

A voluntary car scheme is operating in your area. It is designed to help those in rural areas who are not fit enough to usepublic transport, or who have no other means of transport, to enable them to make essential trips.

Bridport Good Neighbour Scheme

A good neighbour service providing help for simple tasks and transport for hospital visiting and appointments, doctors, dentists, opticians, chiropodists, prescription collection, shopping and other essential tasks.


Areas served: Bridport and local surrounding area including Bothenhampton, Bradpole, Chideock, Dottery, Eype, Loders, Morcombelake, Salway Ash, Waytown and West Bay.

Chalkstream country car scheme

We will help those who need to attend medical appointments, dentists, chiropodists, collect prescriptions and recreational trips within reason and at the discretion of the Chalk Stream Car Service.
